![]() ![]() I got an android app called iDisplay which basically turns my tablet into a second PC monitor, I looked into the rendering software people are using to play games in side-by-side stereoscope only to see two programs mentioned, TriDef and VorpX, but they are both paid software, so I was hoping for any kind of free or open-source alternative I could work with. I've wanted a good, cheap 3D gaming method for a while, and though I'd love to get an Oculus Rift once the consumer model is out, I unfortunately, despite my best efforts, am unemployed, leaving me with no income and very little cash to spare. You can either get the game in a room on a screen in VR or get the proper 3D projection making it feel like a 3D movie. You can play games in two different modes here, depending on what the game supports. I started looking into the possibility of doing a little project turning my 8" android tablet into a 3D monitor so I could then build a custom 3D headset around it for my PC games. Overall, Vireo Perception is a pretty good, free alternative for the VorpX, and since it is the only other option after TriDef got discontinued. Free TriDef/VorpX Alternative (Stereo 3D)?
